During a protest in response to the death of George Floyd, Officer Krystle Smith witnessed a fellow officer use excessive force, throwing down a protestor who was on her knees with her hands up in the air posing no threat to anyone. Upon seeing his actions, Officer Smith pulled the officer in question away from the protestor, pursued him as he walked away, and castigated him for his unjustifiable action. Officer Smith stood her ground, upholding the honor of her badge, demonstrating her commitment to fair justice. She saw an injustice and made her stand against it.
